Gigs-a-thon 2010!

Chapter Master Gigs journeyed south in search of new lands to conquer, only to find a WAAAGH! of epic proportions awaiting him. Borrowing the Sanguinary Skullz, Gigs attempted to blast the onrushing horde but couldn't slow the assault enough. In the end, the green tide washed over the Marines and chopped 'em to bitz.

Da Lukky Gitz launch the attack!

The Sanguinary Skulls find their ranges and unleash a devastating fire into the greenskins.

The Dreadnought prepares an ambush while a tactical squad counters the flanking warbikerz.

Big Mek Chewdakka and his slugga boyz rush Drop Pod Hill and overwhelm the stalwart defenders.

Necronomicon 2009! 25-26 July

Da Lukky Gitz went 2 wins and 3 losses in 2 days of non-stop WAAAGH! The tourney started off rough since my fluffy little Deathskulls got handicapped to play inthe top-tier and were immediately faced by the hard core cheese lists. After a couple massacres I got dropped to the bottom of the pack, won 2 games and lost the last and final. Below are some pics of the action. It was a great time!

Game one versus demons on a red planet. You can see the high-water mark of the action, with boyz fighting a Fateweaver, Bloodthirster, and Demon Prince all at once. The grot artillery ended up killing the Bloodthirster, the Ard Boyz killed the Demon Prince, but the Fateweaver managed to fly over to my objective and contest it to win the game for my opponent.

Game Two versus Vulkan's Mech Marines, which look alot like Chaos Marines. 10 vehicles was way too tall an order for da boyz, plus they hate fighting in the snow. Pics are of the initial charge, as the Gitz floored their vehicles into the gunline, and subsequently died.

Game Four versus Imperial Guard, led by Lord Castellan Creed. I thought I was doomed when I saw I was facing 7 Leman Russes and 3 Chimeras, but Da Lukky Gitz weathered some brutal shooting phases and managed to close the distance, surrounding and destroying the hapless 'oomie general. The poor git couldn't even bail out of his Chimera, and was therefore auto-destroyed. Note the final pic of him lying on his metal coffin, and my heroic pose as I put a gun to Creed's head to finish the job.

3/22/09 - Da Lukky Gtiz vs. Salamanders, 4th Company led by Vulkan. 1500pts, Capture/Control, Pitched Battle. Da Lukky Gitz won this game 1-0, by virtue of some incredibly good luck. I don't paint them blue fer nothin'! The game began w/ my boyz stealing the initiative, which enabled them to immobilize a Vindicator deep in his deployment zone, rendering it useless for the game. Trogdor raced up the left flank and burned up a squad of scouts, enabling the battlewagon boyz to capture the Space Marine objective. My boyz controlling my objective got hammered by a vicious assault from a Land Raider which spit out a squad of assault terminators led by their chapter master. The Salamanders slaughtered 19 boyz in one turn, losing only one terminator to a power klaw attack, and consolidated on top of my objective and right next to the Shokk Attack Gun. Da Big Mek, who has done very little in his last several games, was the last Ork capable of saving the game from being a draw. The Shokk template covered Vulkan and his retinue, and Da Big Mek promptly misfired with a roll of snake-eyes. As the Big Mek jumped into the warp (which he did in my last game too) he also created a blackhole w/ a radius of 4" which insntatly killed all the nearby Salamanders. No more Vulkan, no more termies. Da big Mek is smarter than I thought! The game ended with Da Lukky Gitz in total control of one objective, while 2 tactical Marines were staring down 8 'Ard Boyz on da uvver objective.
