By day, Count Zombay is a small time noble who rules over a small realm between Averheim and Nuln. Despite his low rank among the other nobility, Rupert would do anything to be named the next Elector Count of Averland, even if it meant selling his soul to necromancy. Although he is poor by the standards of Averland, Rupert needs only a few loyal minions to raise the armies he needs to conquer the liscentious Imperial cities. County Zombay is pictured here astride his Abyssal Terror, and his shield loosely translates to "Evil Master."

These guys are great in small games and good for keeping the zombies on the move, but they do tend to die pretty quickly. The fire was painted using the Eavy Metal Masterclass technique from a White Dwarf article on the Khorne Skulltaker. I think of these guys as living, loyal henchmen to the Count, making sure the graves are always stocked and doing all the other busy work to keep the army shuffling.

This guy fits in with the Grave Guard, and was the first of Zombay's vassals to be turned into a vampire thrall. His banner translates to "Filthy Chicken" because the banner's wings kind of look like...well...a dirty chicken.
