The Von Carsteins - blaa!

Clad in the red and purple of the royal von Carstein bloodline, Isabella and Vlad lead their grave guard to the haunted city of Drebkau in eastern Averland to assist the aspiring vampire count and his Lichemaster mentor. Also accompanying the von Carstein's are Tokar and Razor, a pair of deadly werewolves who seek only to kill in battle.

Ghosts - awoooooo!!

Thieves, liars, murderers....sinners all. These spirits have been plucked from the netherworld and forced to submit to the Lichemaster's will. They will find no peace while they walk the Old World, but will be forced to fight for eternity...

The Grim Reapers

When Averland's state troops failed in their mission to destroy the dark sorcerors under Rupert's command they were quickly despatched and returned to Averland a wretched horde of zombies. In response, the Imperial noblemen mustered their finest knights to slay the zombies and ghouls and free Averland from the wrath of their undead kinsmen. However, even the noblemen on their warhorses were outclassed, and the minions of Count von Zombay stripped the flesh form their bones. Now these knights return to battle once more, as Black Knights riding their barded nightmares.

FELL BATS!

These little buggers were furies in my chaos army (the Marauders) and were a great compliment to the infantry/cavalry, but furies were left out of the new Chaos army list. So, instead of just tossing the little gargoyles, I pulled off their 25mm bases and mounted them on 40mm bases and BAM! - fell bats. I usually field them as a unit of 10 because they tend to fly beyond the healing range of the vampires. They're also pathetic in combat, so the more there are the better chance they have of sticking around in melee for a few turns.

Vampire Thralls.

I use these guys as Grave Guard. The unit once consisted of some of the Empire's best swordsmen and duellists, each personally turned to a vampire by Count Rupert. They aren't powerful enough to use necromancy magic to raise the dead, but their supernatural powers make them tougher in combat and have enhanced their combat skills to enable swift decapitation of their foes. When led by the Vampire BSB, this unit becomes a blood-sucking force to be reckoned with.
